WAM Abu Dhabi, 24th Feb. 2012 (WAM) -- The UAE is expected to be affect by surface low pressure centred over the middle and north of Saudi Arabia which will accelerate the southerly flow at the surface, increasing the temperature specifically over the western regions, and raising dust and sand over most parts, reducing the horizontal visibility especially over the internal and open areas at noon time of Saturday, 25 February 2012, according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS). This southern wind will also extend towards the offshore of the sea to make it rough at time in Arabian Gulf and rough in Oman Sea. ''This southern fresh wind is expected to be followed by northerly relatively cold, fresh and strong winds at times over the sea on Sunday morning. their impact will begin with the morning especially over the west coast, then extend gradually to other areas, accompanied by a gradual decrease in temperature This northerly wind will cause the sea to be rough and very rough specifically on next Monday,'' NCMS said in its latest weather forecast report. Due to the cold air mass at the middle and upper layers of the atmosphere, the clouds will accumulate gradually over the islands and the northern areas, with a chance of rain over some parts of the northern areas on Saturday night and during Sunday. The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) advises the motorists to take precaution on roads due to the expected bad horizontal visibility, and avoid exposure to dust, particularly those who suffers of asthma. Beach-goers were also advised not to ride the sea on Saturday until Sunday where the sea wave is expected to be rough, and to check the sea state on Monday before venturing into the sea. WAM/TF ¬
