Israeli Prime Minister said the Zionist entity is to build a fortified fence along the frontier with Syria, as he warned that Jihadists have taken over the area.
Netanyahu said the Syrian regime was "unstable", and Tel Aviv was ‘concerned' about the Damascus' chemical weapons capabilities.
"We intend to erect an identical fence, with a few changes based on the actual territory, along the Golan Heights," Netanyahu told a weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday .
"We know that on the other side of our border with Syria today, the Syrian army has moved away, and in its place, global jihad forces have moved in."
"Global jihad" is the term the Zionist entity uses for forces influenced by al-Qaeda.
"We are co-coordinating our intelligence and readiness with the United States and others so that we might be prepared for any scenario and possibility that could arise," Netanyahu said.
The Zionist entity has repeatedly warned against "hijacking" the "revolution" in Syria by the extremists. Jordan has also voiced the same concern.
